Phil Rawlins

Head of Treasury & Wholesale Markets

Phil is an experienced Money Market, Debt and Foreign Exchange professional, with managerial experience involving U.K. and overseas wholesale activities. Responsibilities include oversight of Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo Treasury businesses, and membership of the Executive Committee in each region.

Over a number of years he has developed considerable trading and investor contacts both domestically and abroad.

Phil joined Bank of Scotland International Division in 1987, based in London, moving to Treasury in 1989 and assuming a trading position in 1991. After rotating through a number of trading roles Phil became Head of Money Markets and Collateral Trading in 2006. Post merger Phil assumed the role of Head of Treasury Sydney in May 2009, expanding the remit to Asia Pacific in October of that year.

After a career focusing on Europe, US and UK markets the opportunity to develop an Asian mandate has been welcomed. During his tenure a new banking licence – Lloyds TSB Bank plc, Australia Branch, has been introduced into Australia enabling an expanded product list and a framework for the group to build out its wholesale activities across the region.
