Lloyds TSB Bank plc Australia branch: a brief history

Lloyds TSB Group plc was renamed Lloyds Banking Group plc following the acquisition of HBOS plc in January 2009. This acquisition led to the reorganisation of the Group so that all Treasury and Trading business would be conducted by a Lloyds TSB entity. Lloyds TSB Bank plc Australia branch (LTSBA), trading as Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets, is the Group’s Treasury and Trading entity in Australia.

Lloyds TSB Bank plc Australia branch has been registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (“ASIC”) as a foreign company in Australia. We have been granted a foreign Authorised Deposit-Taking Institution (“ADI”) authority from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (“APRA”) and an Australian Financial Services License (“AFSL”) from ASIC. We are also a member of the Australian Financial Markets Association.
